Our Commitment

Vendor Neutrality Pledge

In a FinOps content landscape shaped by hyperscaler marketing and tool vendor sponsorships, neutrality isn't a position. It's a trust signal.

"CVL content is not sponsored, paid, commercially motivated, or influenced by any vendor, hyperscaler, or tool platform. This is non-negotiable. It applies to every article, every interview, every editorial decision."

The Four Principles

Hyperscaler Neutrality

No preference expressed or implied between AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. CVL does not favour one hyperscaler over another in framing, coverage, or tone. Practitioners reference their cloud of choice freely. That's their story to tell. CVL stays neutral.

Tool Neutrality

CVL does not promote third-party FinOps platforms or tooling vendors. We cover practices and people, not products. If a practitioner advocates for a specific tool, they're welcome to say so, but CVL doesn't amplify it as a recommendation.

No Commercial Content

No sponsored posts. No paid placements. No affiliate links. No advertorial. No content that exists to serve a commercial outcome. Full stop.

Interviewee Freedom + Anonymisation

Interviewees may reference their employer and tools freely. That's their story. However, CVL offers full anonymisation on request: company name replaced with industry vertical, company-identifying details removed. The focus is always on business processes, decision-making, and hard-won experience, not internal tooling specifics.

Why This Matters

Readers trust CVL because they know the conversation is clean. Featured practitioners trust CVL because they know their name and perspective won't be used to promote something they didn't intend to endorse.

That trust is the foundation everything else is built on.
