Anonymisation Options

Your story matters more than your employer's name. CVL makes it possible to share both, or just the one that counts.

Some of the most valuable FinOps insight comes from practitioners who can't speak freely under their own company's name. CVL's anonymisation option was built for exactly this.

What Anonymisation Covers

  • Your company name is replaced with your industry vertical (e.g. "a global financial services firm" or "a mid-sized SaaS company")
  • Company-identifying details (team size ranges, specific internal tools, proprietary processes) are reviewed and softened where needed
  • Your name and title remain as-is, unless you request further anonymisation
  • The focus stays on your decision-making, your experience, and your perspective, not on who employs you

What It Doesn't Change

Anonymisation doesn't dilute the story. In most cases, removing the employer name makes the insight more transferable. Readers focus on what you did and why, not on whether they work in the same industry. The best CVL features are the ones where the practitioner's thinking is so strong that the company name is irrelevant.

"The best FinOps insight travels further without a company name attached."

How to Request It

Anonymisation can be requested at any stage: when you apply, during the review process, or after you've seen the draft. Just let CVL know and it will be applied before publication. There's no deadline and no awkward conversation required.
