How It Works

CVL features practitioners through long-form written interviews. The process is personal, unhurried, and built around your story, not a template.

Every CVL feature starts with a direct invitation or expression of interest. The editorial process is managed personally from first contact to publication. There are no editors passing your words through a committee, no brand guidelines to comply with, and no commercial agenda to navigate.

The Process

Express Interest

You fill out a short form indicating who you are and what you want to talk about. CVL reads every submission personally and responds to every one.

Initial Conversation

If there's a fit, CVL reaches out to set up an introductory conversation. This is informal, a chance to find the angle, understand your story, and decide together whether a feature makes sense.

The Interview

The interview itself is conducted as an organic conversation. No preparation needed. Just bring your best self. CVL shapes the questions around what's most interesting and authentic about your experience, not a standard practitioner checklist.

Writing and Editing

CVL writes and edits the piece. Turnaround from interview to draft is typically one to two weeks. You'll have the opportunity to review before anything is published.

Review and Approval

You see the piece before it goes live. You can request changes, flag anything you'd prefer removed, or opt for anonymisation at this stage.

Publication

CVL publishes one new feature per week. Once your piece is approved, it enters the publication queue and goes live on the site and newsletter.

What to Expect

  • One to two weeks from interview to draft
  • Publication queue: approximately one article per week
  • Full review before anything goes live
  • Anonymisation available on request at any stage
